2012 was an amazing year for Connecticut craft beer drinkers. With the arrival of great breweries like Sixpoint, Green Flash and Founders (and so many more!) there was a lot to drink. Now the beer scene is getting a little bit more crowded with the arrivals of Maine Beer Company and Mayflower Brewing.
Twitter follower Nick tipped us off to a Mayflower Brewing Tweet announcing their plans to enter the state from the bottom up!
We are entering CT in stages over the next few wks. First New Haven, Fairfield & Litchfield counties throughStar Distributors & A. Gallo

Great news! I’ve never had a Mayflower beer but certainly will once they get into Hartford County, which they said they’ll be doing in later stages.
Maine Beer Company’s arrival, which we’ve been hearing bits and pieces about over the last few months, is finally here. Confirmed by Twitter follower CTBeerPope. He used to be one of the great beer guys at Willowbrook in Cromwell. He’s now working at Tony’s in Haddam and said his store will be getting a case Wednesday.
Maine Beer Co. Get ready CT!! Its here!!!!

I’ve yet to have a single Maine Beer Company brew and I’m so excited to final have one. CTBeerPope says the first one distributed will be Mean Old Tom, an “American-style stout aged on organic vanilla beans.” Sounds delicious. Main Beer Company will be distributed by the Craft Beer Guild.
