The good folks at Sebago Brewing Company will bring some of Maine’s finest beer to Eli Cannon’s Tuesday night.
When I was in Maine back in August I went to one of their brewpubs for dinner – one of the smartest decisions we made all vacation. Not only was the beer good, but the food was amazing. I wish they’d bring some of that open face brisket I had along with them.
Tuesday looks to be a special night in Middletown with the way Sebago appears ready to represent themselves. On tap will be a cask of Midnight Porter, their 2011 Barleywine, Frye’s Leap IPA, Slick Nick Winter Ale, Local Harvest, Saddleback Pale Ale, Boathouse Brown and Lake Trout Stout. This is a hugely impressive and satisfying representation of a great New England Brewery.
I’ve had a handful of these. The Midnight Porter is a wonderful winter porter that I would love to have on cask. The rest speak for themselves really. Slick Nick is a nice winter warmer but any of the above beers should treat you right on Tuesday.
Eli’s says this will be a big one, so I’d recommend heading down early and having a good stay.
